At only 8 months of age, Pasha was found as a stray in Meade County, KY. He had been hit by a car and was not able to use his left hind leg.
We worked with The Spirit Fund of Meade County to get Pasha transferred to us, so that we could get him the veterinary care he so badly needed: we first took him to Preston Animal Hospital, where he received an initial evaluation, and his routine vaccinations. Unfortunately, the fracture proved to be too involved to be handled by a primary care veterinarian, and we subsequently took Pasha to Elk Creek Animal Hospital, where he underwent surgical repair of his fractured left femur.
Pasha is recovering according to plan: while Pasha recently had the rod in his leg removed, he was also neutered at the same time. He will begin physical therapy in a little over a week, so that he can gain strength and range of motion in the affected leg. Once he will be released from veterinary care, he will be made available for adoption. If you’re interested in adopting him, please complete an adoption adoption application, so that we can get the process, which is very thorough, under way.
